Tamara Upton comes aboard as Director of Business Operations, and Matt Kipper joins us as Creative Director.
Despite the many challenges that 2020 presented, we were fortunate to maintain steady growth and—with the most recent additions to our leadership team—2021 looks to be even more promising.
As we expand our global footprint alongside our new partners at Dept, we set out to bring fresh perspectives to our team. We looked for leaders with a proven track record of scaling business and strengthening creative organizations. To that end, we’re pleased to welcome Tamara Upton and Matt Kipper to BASIC®.
As our Director of Business Operations, Tamara will streamline tools and workflows to ensure the efficiency of our organization. Joining us from Firstborn, she oversaw the agency’s resource management and IT; as well as business and people ops. She played a pivotal role at other shops like R/GA, Havas, and Wunderman for more than a decade, and we’re eager to see what the future of our business looks like under her leadership.
We’re also excited to introduce Matt Kipper as our newest Creative Director—bringing his flair for storytelling and culture-shaping work in both consumer and B2B marketing. With a focus on brand and design, this award-winning creative led campaigns and brand launches for Google, Mercedes-Benz, Hyatt, Famous Stars & Straps, and Interscope Records.
